Lady Platinum Club to take advantage of new career-low mark in Three Mile Inn Handicap at Newcastle
The odds are not in favour of Lady Platinum Club, but one might have to pay a heavy cost, if he ignores the 4-year-old’s chances in the Three Mile Inn Handicap, going down at Newcastle on Monday, September 10th.
Trained by Geoffrey Oldroyd, the filly was unlucky last twice. On both her starts this season, she ran a lot better than the bare facts suggest. There is nothing wrong with her rhythm, and she may take advantage of a new career-low mark.
She started off this season last month. Under Miss M. Keegan, the 33-1 chance made an impressive start, and had every chance over 2f out to over 1f out. But she got weakened inside the final furlong and as a result, finished eighth in the Integral UK Handicap
(Pro-Am Lady Riders' Race) at Carlisle.
Owned by T. Keegan, the daughter of Monsieur Bond made another unlucky ride last month. She raced wide, and kept herself prominent during most part of the race. However, she once again started getting weakened in the final stages. Consequently, she could
only seize the 10th place in the Thirsk Races Family Day Friday 31st August Lady Amateur Riders' Handicap.
Despite a couple of awful trips, no one should underestimate her. The filly just needs a strong finish to break the shackles. None of her opponents is in special form, thus the filly has an obvious chance of putting up an exciting show.
She is set to face 15 powerful runners in today’s class 6 meeting. According to the plan, the 6f contest will be begun at 16:30 GMT. The winner of this race will bag a cash prize of £1,617.
John Coffey showed good improvement last time. After completing the order of finish at Ripon, the David Nicholls-trained got his act together, and shared the podium at Redcar at the end of last month.
The 3-year-old belongs to a famous yard, and will automatically attract a lot of punters. But a chance can be taken on Lady Platinum Club, who needs only a bit of luck to create a huge upset. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
