Lady Rosamunde tipped to win TurfTV Bonus Handicap
Lady Rosamunde is all set to prevail in the TurfTV Bonus Handicap at Goodwood in England on Friday, May 25, 2012. The winner of the class-4 event will be awarded a cash prize of £4,852.
The going will be good to firm in the 1 mile 4 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 16:55 GMT. A total of 11 runners had lined up for action at Goodwood and their names are as follows: Lady Rosamunde, Figaro, Woop Woop, Alshazah, Kathleen Frances,
Crafty Roberto, Gunslinger, Stentorian, Roberto Pegasus, Foxhaven and Almail.
Out of the above mentioned runners Roberto Pegasus and Foxhaven might not be seen in action today, as there is a doubt over their participation. The latter of the two is a veteran gelding and could have made a solid impression in the race.
At the moment, the best chances of victory appear to be with Lady Rosamunde, as she appears to be in great form. She has been doing a decent job over the past few events, thus the punters will be encouraged to place a lot of bets in her favour.
The four-year-old filly has participated in seven events until now, winning just a couple of them and finishing runner up on three times. Moreover, she has also secured the third spot once, which shows that she is capable of competing at the front.
Although the Marcus Tregoning’s trainee does not have a good strike rate, she has the tools to deliver a winning run at Goodwood. She is carrying a very good momentum, winning two out of her previous three outings. She was terrific in her most recent
run, as she emerged victorious despite not being rated as the favourite to win.
Lady Rosamunde will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Tadhg O'Shea, who has won quite a few races at this level. However, his strike rate is pretty much poor, which will discourage the punters from risking money on him.
Figaro is another one, who has earned the confidence of the bookies for this race. His recent form has been impressive, which will definitely encourage the punters to risk money on him.
Overall, the four-year-old gelding has participated in eight races, winning just once.
