Lady Sylvia likely to prevail in Coast To Coast Brighton Marina Handicap
Lady Sylvia is in the best shape to win the Coast To Coast Brighton Marina Handicap (Div II of 3.05) at Brighton in England on Thursday, May 31, 2012. A cash prize of £1,617 will be awarded to the winner of the class-6 event.
The going will be good to firm in the 1 mile, 1 furlong and 209 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 15:35 GMT. A total of nine runners have been attracted towards the event and their names are as follows: Chignon, Lady Sylvia, Dalmo, Isobella, Renegotiate, Thecornishcockney,
Musically, Canning Vale and Leading Star.
Most of the participants in this race are relatively inexperienced, thus it will be hard to predict the winner accurately. However, the record of Lady Sylvia suggests that she will walk away with a comfortable victory in the end.
The three-year-old filly has participated in four races until now, winning one of them. She has also secured the third place on the same number of times, which proves that she is quite capable of winning in the future.
The Joseph Tuite’s trainee made her debut last year and was unable to make an impression in her first couple of outings. However, she got better with time and started delivering some positive results afterwards.
In her most recent race, Lady Sylvia finished third overall. She was not rated favourite back then, but was still expected to give a tough time to her opponents. However, she failed to match the top two, which was a bit discouraging.
However, things will be a lot easier for the favourite filly, as her opponents do not seem to be in a strong position right now. She will be partnered by Liam Keniry, who has enjoyed a lot of success at this level, but needs to improve his overall strike
rate.
On the other hand, Chignon has also managed to win the confidence of the bookies, despite being unable to make a solid impression in her career until now.
The three-year-old filly has participated in three races, but has not enjoyed any success so far. However, she has managed to finish fifth on a couple of occasions, which shows that a little more effort could help her challenge Lady Sylvia today.
