  1. Disagree.  She was far too divisive a figure and doesn't deserve this kind of State honour.

  2. Don't even start me.

  3. no i dont agree aunty sparkles she messed this country up same as the rest of the mps lol

  4. agree

why? our last real leader - policies have little to do with that dispite the lefties xx

  5. For a second there you got me all excited - I thought she'd died!

  6. Her party wrecked this country so No.

  7. No, she should get a normal funeral like any other PM, all she did was take us to war, split the country, kill community and make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

  8. I agree because apart from Winston Churchill, (who had a state funeral, although they are not usually given for commoners) Maggie is our greatest Prime Minister and for her sterling work in destroying the dictatorial power of the overweening trade unions, and standing up to Brussels; in spite of her own ministers backstabbing; she thoroughly deserves the honour.

  9. Disagree. She was just a Prime Minister no more no less.

  10. Disagree

Steet parties should be the order of the day.

Lets also celebrate that Mark Thatcher is being re-investigated by Papua New Guinea for his part in the attempted overthrow of their government.

What a horrendous and corrupt family of thieves they are!

  11. No.  She divided the country!  (Divide and conquer!?!?)

  12. This is an awkward question.

While I am an admirer of Lady Thatcher, I do not think she warrants this exceptional treatment. This would have the effect of politicising State Funerals, with the Labour Party requiring similar treatment for one of their elder statement in the near future.

Commoners receiving State Funerals should be those whose exceptional contributions have been almost without controversy and have risen to the cause when the very survival of the United Kingdom was in doubt.

  13. Absolutely

Keeping politics out of it a Prime Minister, President , Solder, anyone who's served their/your country then the country in return should grant them/you a final resting place.

  14. Disagree, she divided this country like no other, the beginning of our present problems. Churchill had one for his war efforts, not for being PM, so he was the exception.

  15. Totally Agree

    Can we have it tomorrow

  16. Disagree- Spend the money on something else.

  17. So she should. She left the country in a right state!

  18. No.  She destroyed the country.  Chuck her in an incinerator and use her ashes for landfill.

  19. Yes.She was a state so it's only right she should be buried like one;)

  20. latest news-

  21. If they want to fine, as long as it doesn't come out of my taxes.

  22. I don't remember any State funeral for a commoner other than Winston Churchill! or Lord Nelson-who was a Lord!

Don't see why she should have one-it's like the Honours list it will be TV announcers next! every celeb in the Media  will be getting one lol

  23. The Iron Lady was a great leader

  24. I agree, the Lady did more for the good of this country than any other post war Prime Minister !!!

  25. shes the best prime minister we've ever had and she deserves a good send off but i think its a decision for the family to make not the government. if the family choose a private funeral then thats what she should have. by the way, can we wait till shes dead first please. its very callous to talk about her funeral when she is perfectly capable of  reading  about it in the mail.

  26. i think its a waste of money. money what could be spent on things that will benefit our country.shes got enough money  to pay for her own funeral.not every1 thinks she did good

  27. I completely agree with this decision...!!!

    why? she's great!!!

    beso

  28. I can see no valid reason why she should have a state funeral.

She was a PM who appeared to achieve quite a lot during her premiership, a bit like Tony Blair, but in reality it was a false dawn. Her decisions to join the US in its feeble war against Sadam and to defend our rights in the South Atlantic encouraged people to believe she was someone special but in reality she was a bit of a bully.

  29. I don't even know if she would agree.

I don't but my opinion is nothing to do with her personally I just think that the monies that will be spent when the times comes ought to spent on our troops and the welfare of their families.

There are other ways of acknowledging Maggies place in history and no doubt there will be another bronze statue erected somewhere.

  30. did not know she had gone

  31. d**n, I was hoping the old bat had kicked it! Oh well, can't have everything!
