Lady/man jockey?

about 20 years ago a top french jockey died when p/mortem they discovered it was a lady afters years riding as a man can anybody recall his /her name

There was the case of William Smith in Australia who was a trainer/jockey and he stood trial when it was discovered that he was actually a woman.
