The Bavarian giants’ skipper has asked his team members to fully concentrate this season as he is eyeing to reclaim the league title back from fierce rivals, Borussia Dortmund.

The 28-year-old claimed that he is not worried about last year’s happenings and is focusing on the current campaign. In the previous season Die Roten were eight-points ahead of the BVB but still failed to win the domestic title.
"We are not thinking about any statistics or about what happened in the past. We are sitting atop of the table right now and intend to keep it like that until the end of the season," Lahm stated.
"At some point last year we even had an eight-point lead over Borussia Dortmund, yet still managed to throw it all away,” he added.
Der FCB captain stated that they cannot concede their advantage this time around and have learned from their mistakes. Therefore, the team needs to work really hard in order to win some silverware. He said that Die Bayern can break
their run of winning the opening seven league matches, but will have to be on top of their game to achieve that.
"We cannot let that happen this term. Last season was a warning for us. We have to be focused in every game we play,” he mused.
"We can break the record of winning our opening seven league games. We have to make sure we remain focused, though," he finally concluded.
Bayern travel to Werder Bremen on Saturday and will be looking forward to register an important away win.
