Out of favour Test wicketkeeper, Kamran Akmal, has said that the upcoming match of Lahore Lions and Sialkot Stallions is going to be a final for both the teams.
The two teams will be up against each other on the 27th of September, 2011 at the National Stadium Karachi. The winner of this match will qualify for the semi-final of the Faysal Bank T20 Tournament 2011.
The Lions are the defending champions of the tournament, whereas, Stallions have won this tournament five times in the past. The two teams are considered the best in the domestic cricket of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 and it is quite surprising that Lions and Stallions are
kept in the same pool.
Kamran, who is an integral part of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808, understands that the upcoming match is going to be a massive one for both the teams. The discarded wicketkeeper batsman admitted that it will be a huge challenge for the Lions to dismantle the Stallions.
“It’s a huge match, a match that sees two of the best teams in the tournament square up to each other. It’s a ‘do or die’ match - I would refer to it as a final for both teams. Sialkot are a very powerful team,” said Kamran.
