Laid off while on workers comp?

reached my mmi on workers compensation dr gave me the release to go back to work, when i went back the owner told me the business was closing down. most probably would have to laid me off. can this be possible, what happens next

  1. You file for unemployment, and you look for another job.The timing sucks, but it happens.


  2. Sure it's possible.  What happens next is you do what all your co workers are doing - go out and find a new job.

  3. Unfortunately your going have to file for unemployment.  The only way that you can remain on work comp and be paid work comp benefits is if you had permanent restrictions, like can't lift anything over one pound.  If this was the case you could be VR qualified.

    Sorry for your lose, but unfortunately work comp won't cover for you.
