Lake Superior UFO?

I was browsing around the internet, regarding ufo's, when i stumbled upon an article on wikipedia, regarding a fighter plane, that went missing in 1953. The fighter-plane had been sent to chase after a UFO, however shortly after take-off, all communications were lost.

Searches went on for years regarding the disappeared plane, and no wreckage was found.

In 2006, a group of divers went diving in Lake Superior, and found what seemed to be an F-89 airplane, identical to the one that had disappeared. However, that was not all, about 215 feet away, was a "tear-shaped" metallic object, believed to be 15 feet long. This, it is believed, was what made the plane crash all those years ago, however, the divers say it looked like nothing they have every seen before.

They managed to take a couple of pictures, but did not get any closer to the mysterious object.

A couple of months after announcing their find, their website went offline, no further news has been heard.

eerie huh?

  1. I mean 1 site is not a reliable source, you would need a few at least.

  2. I thought you said it was Lake Superior, not Eerie.

Not too difficult to find the Great Lakes Diving Co. web site, plenty of pics on there but not many UFO's.

Sorry I forgot to post the address

  3. It doesn't matter which Lake.  You're obviously dealing with an unreliable source.  If what they were saying was true (or even if it wasn't, but a lot of people imagined it was), there would be lots of other places where you could find out more.

  4. I remember reading a book similar story.
