While there are a couple of "Lake Victoria's", the most famous being in Africa where 3 countries (Tanzania, Uganda, & Kenya) border it, there is no Lake Victoria near Victoria, BC.  Victoria was named after Queen Victoria and is located on Vancouver Island.  It is the provincial capital of British Columbia.
