  1. It's a lake of ethane.  Cool.  Very cool.  In fact, cold.  Very cold.  Profoundly cold.  The article says they think it could be a good candidate for life.  Well, it does have lots of nice tasty compounds which would be a credible basis for abiogenesis, but the enthusiasm might be more monetarily motivated than scientifically.  The temperatures are so cold, that any chemical evolution would be exceedingly slow.  At those temperatures, even under the BEST chemical conditions, I would be surprised if there were even substantial amounts of amino acids, much less, life.

    I'm all for finding out, but the funding would dry up if they told what they probably actually believe.  So I think they accentuate the positive, so to speak.
