  1. Boil it at a high boil, condense the steam in a sterile trap and then it's safe to drink, maybe. Before then, there are way too many bacteria in standing water.

  2. I recommend NOT to drink this water..............it is not worth the risk

  3. DEPENDS ON IF YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH OR NOT

  4. i wouldnt. i dont even get into the lake myself. there isnt any telling how many ppl have had s*x, used the restroom, or did anything else in the water.. unless you get a huge water purifyer then no..

  5. I know of many lakes in Washington that do this on a regular basis.  The only criteria for them using the lake water for potable water is that it has to come from so far offshore as the lake will permit and states and the water is tested regularly for micro organisims.  check with your local or state agencies to find out.

  6. Boats dump gas and oil. Lake front houses dump raw sewage. you decide ???

  7. Depends on the lake. Have it checked by a water safety specialist. If they clear it, have at. You may need to filter it first.

  8. Only if you filter it through a 5 stage reverse osmosis filter system made by such company like Premier. Lake water contains many harmful critters for humans, i.e. bacteria, parasites, algae, small worms, etc.

  9. i would not use it to drink with, but you could use the water to flush your toilet or water your lawn
