Lakers defeat Warriors with Gasol's perfect performance
Pau Gasol has included himself among the most excellent players in the history of NBA on Sunday 21st November night. The outstanding performance from Los Angeles Lakers in a long weekend has placed both players much eminent in the basketball
world. Matt Barnes is a team player of Gasol who has made a name as well two days before his performance. Not the time to discuss who did better from other but its time to be pleased about both NBA players. Charles Barkley did the same piece of distinction
about 22 seasons ago.
Gasol was successful in scoring 28 points and he did it without missing a shot. On the other side Kobe Bryant made 20 points superbly; as a result Lakers was leading with 30 points in the earliest half. The game won by Lakers with 117-89 over the rival Golden
States Warriors. Gasol attained all ten from the field, eight from the free throw line and also faced 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Before the excellent performance from the Gasol, only Barkley and Barnes were in the list of the players who ever demonstrated such
a performance with 20 points.
On Friday night Matt Barnes scored twenty-four points in total without missing a single shot while playing at Minnesota. Barnes was really inspired from Gasol imitator attempt that was also distinguished with the 7-foot Spaniard's advantage. Barnes yarned
by saying that his contest was with little midgets; it is really surprising that he topped me, he further added.
Gasol’s abilities were tested when the game officials restricted and call back both squads to the court to complete the remaining few seconds of the game, he steadily hit 2 free throws effectively. Gasol while speaking to the media was quite excited and
elaborated the team effort with the playing strategy they have used. Gasol said that they made 5 or 6 three-pointers absolutely because of our team work that made him always closer to the basket. He added that he didn’t care what on earth Matt was doing; he
just focused on altering the game situation with fullest efforts. Interesting performance by Lakers including the shots’ success rate of 66 percent in this season and twelve wins in fourteen contests of the season by Los Angeles is also stirring.
Another interesting figure is that the Bryant performance remained less than 27 minutes during the play whereas none of the remaining key plays did his job for more than 30 minutes. Phil Jackson the coach of Los Angeles basketball team delightfully said
that the situation gives them a possibility to get frozen and out of the game early on. Jackson said, the situation let the openers to get adjusted and to hold up the players that are out there. To play against Chicago on Tuesday we also have reserve, he added.
Dorell Wright with a score of sixteen points and Stephen Curry with 13 points were eminent in the Warriors’ entire four losses in five games. Monta Ellis got injured and dropped in the second half of the game. Keith Smart, the coach of the Warriors side
said that our team couldn’t enter with a passion and matching spirit. The Lakers have been playing with big aims as they started with better match chemistry and strategy; we require competitive edge to reach at their level.
The Lakers have improved its game well after returning from 3-0 Midwest road trip and last week defeat from Phoenix; whereas Warrior basketball squad has been struggling still with 35% shooting. In recent match Gasol and Odom were the main players who shaded
opponent Warriors centre Andris Biedrins.
Biedrins at the Warriors’ side who scored nine points in his all nine rebounds said that the only reason behind our defeat and losing points was not achieving rebounds. He added that he is very optimistic about his upcoming match against Denver.
