Lakers vs Kings rivalry.?

/ Remember playoffs 2002? It was fixed and I believe kobe & shaq deserves 2 championship title only. I am very disappointed of what happened back then. My question is what do you think will happen to lakers if kings pulled that series and the championship title? or i'm wondering if kings's starting 5 (mike,doug,peja,cwebb,vlade) will still be on the kings roster right now. That's the kings best line up they ever had. That is the team to beat back in 2002-03.

I'm a kings fan.

It's going to be a long time till the Kings can go back to the finals. They need to make some big changes and get some more good players. In the 09 draft, they should get a good pick at least to give them a start. Who knows, they could even end up like the Celtics? Right now, the Lakers are a h**l of a lot more dominant.

yeah no doubt about it.

I remember Mike Bibby was a killer with those 3's...

And well C-Webb was C-Webb...doing his thing.

But the duo of Kobe and Shaq was just too much for the guys.

Then having our clutch shooter Robert Horry, and guys like Rick Fox, and Derek Fisher...

No hard feelings though...

mike,doug,peja,cwebb,vlade came back to the kings they wont be as good as they were cuze there old now but if they were in there primes and came back it would be fun to see these two teams against each other...

First i do remember the 2002 playoffs.  And i remember there being some calls at the end of game 5 that gave game 5 to the Kings.  And so any conspiracy theories you want to believe-- even if game 6 was "fixed" (which is coming from Donaghy - who has no credibility) the Lakers were cheated of game 5 and still had to win a game 7 in Sacramento- so sorry- but you need something more solid than i think it was fixed...

I can understand your disappointment- and in terms of your team still being together- C. Webb and Vlade are retired- and losing or winning that series did not contribute in any way to their aging and diminishing skills.  Christie is a shadow of what he was- Mike Bibby and Peja can still play but aren't what they are- but if that 5 was still together- the Kings would be in trouble.  

Bottom line is you didn't you hear Kings fans making a big deal of it back then- and now that Donaghy starts this rumor to take the attention off himself...

Did you watch that game 6 in 2002? That game was not rigged at all! Idk why all these Kings and Rockets fans find Donaughy so credible. Hes going to jail! And hes just trying to bring the NBA down with him. That game was not rigged. So get over it

All of those players are all old now, except for Mike Bibby.  Doug, and Webber are old, Vlade is retired, and Peja passed his prime. So no, those 5 would not be on the Kings.
