Lakes in van nuys, california....?

i heard that there are lakes here... do you know of any that you are able to swim in?

There are no lakes in the valley (ie. Toluca Lake or Lake Balboa area).

The closest lake to swim would be Castiac Lake up North on the 5 fwy, just past Magic Mountain.

Also just a bit further is Pyramid Lake.  Also good for boating & swimming!

Van Nuys is a down scale city in a valley in a desert. There are no natural lakes in the city of Van Nuys itself. Just swimming pools. If you want to swim in a natural body of water, about 20 miles away is the Pacific Ocean.
