Lakes near San Francisco?

Question

im a big wakeboarder moving to san fran and i was wondering were the nearest lakes big enough to have a dock, boat, and go wakeboarding on are?

There's a few.  Clear Lake is about 2 hrs north.  Calero reservoir is about and hour south.  You can wakeboard the Delta upstream from Suisun Bay north of Pittsburg.  Checkout Calaveros reservoir about an hour southeast of SF.  Further south is Anderson Lake.

The bad news is that everything is a drive.  Take up windsurfing and you'll have the world's finest water outside your door in SF.

the only ones I can think of are Lake Berryessa and Lake Tahoe. I don't know of any large lakes really close to the city.
