The Croatian striker is looking forward to scoring goals with his new side and is targeting consistent performances.

Lakic expressed his delight on moving to Hoffenheim this January and is aiming for a good six months with the German outfit. The player admitted that he will give his all to prove his worth with his new side and is looking forward
to scoring goals.
The Croatian admitted that he had a disappointing last few months at Wolfsburg and his displays were certainly not up to the mark. He added that this will be a perfect opportunity for him to prove himself at the highest stage and
stated that the match against FC Augsburg this weekend would be a great start.
“My aim is to help the side as soon as possible and we will have to see if I can start tomorrow. The last few months in Wolfsburg have damaged my image. That bothers me, and that is why I am glad that I have found a new club with
Hoffenheim,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Hoffenheim manager Holger Stanislawski stressed that the striker will undergo a fitness test before the game to make sure he is set to face Augsburg. He further added that the striker will be given enough chances
to perform and urged the fans to be patient.
“Srdjan is fit and he has no problems or injuries, but we will have to see if he is ready for Augsburg. What is important is that not everybody expects Lakic to score five goals in every game. We would not stop him from doing so,
but we have got to give him time to settle in,” he concluded.
Srdjan Lakic made 10 Bundesliga appearances for Wolfsburg and was unable to score in the process. The player fell down the pecking order of strikers at Volkswagen Arena and was offloaded to Hoffenheim.
