The out of favour Indian pacer, Lakshmipathy Balaji, was all praise for his injured Kolkata Knight Riders' skipper, Gautam Gambhir, as he compared Gambhir with the calm and cool Indian skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028.
In a media encounter at the sidelines of his side’s opening game of the Champions League T20 qualifiers, Balaji said that the stylish Indian batsman is as good as the Ranchi boy, MS Dhoni, when it comes to leading the side.
“He (Gautam Gambhir) always used to set an example for the rest of the team-members,” said Balaji while talking to the reporters after KKR prevailed in the last ball decider against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Auckland-c766 Aces on Monday night.
“He always led from the front and I have no doubt whatsoever that leadership skill wise, Gautam is on-par with MS Dhoni at the moment," he insisted.
This is the first time in the four editions of lucrative Indian Premier League that Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders moved beyond the league stages of the money spinning tournament and Balaji attributed the achievement to Gambhir’s able captaincy.
"The way he backed his players to the hilt and stood behind the team was absolutely brilliant,” said Balaji. “He handled the pressure very well and inspired us all to perform at our best. His attacking field placements helped us apply more pressure on the
opponents," he further added.
Gambhir, a stylish top-order batsman from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 in the November-December home series, winning all of the

the main tournament as well, if KKR proceed to the Group stage.
