  4. The railways have done well in recent years. Modernization of infrastructure and provision of better facilities to passengers will help sustain the turnaround.

  5. It is just a mathmatical calculations and nothing more.  It is known to every one that Indian Railway has enough assets but it is not maintained properly. Public is willing to pay money but wants better facilities which are not provided to them

    Its success cannot be attributable to a single person, but to the hundreds or thousands who work behind the scenes tirelessly. There are unsung heroes everywhere. The administarion of any national corporation is a big task and railways have alwayes been a mighty powerful part of India's lifeline. Let's hope his vision of further improvements and alliance into the private sector would be just as beneficial - not a sellout.
