Former 6th man of the year claims Clippers are deeper than championship winning Lakers roster from three seasons ago.

Los Angeles Clippers' recently acquired back-up forward Lamar Odom feels that his current team is deeper than any setup he has ever played for, even more so than his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Odom was part of the Lakersthat reached the NBA Finals three years in a row and won two out of those, in 2009 and 2010. However, when he was asked what he thought the depth of the current Clippers roster and if he had ever played
for a deeper team during the Clippers media day on Friday, Odom sided with the Clippers.
"No. I've been on good teams. I've been on a team that went to the Finals three years in a row. You have to be pretty good to get to the Finals. But championships aren't won by just talking about a team and looking at a roster.
We've all seen good rosters before and teams that we think should win, but this team is built to compete against the best teams in the NBA,” said Odom.
Odom was however hesitant to name his former team.
“No, you'd be a fool to hate what you love. But it's out of respect for this team to not mention where you once were. We expect to play and win here so you have to be aware of your surroundings and who you represent now,” said
Odom.
LO has been through a tough time this past one year. Disgruntled at the treatment meted out to him by the Lakers front office in what was a nixed Chris Paul trade, Odom requested for a trade last pre season. He was promptly traded
to the Dallas Mavericks. Odom played 50 games for the Mavericks but averaged a career low 6.6 points per game and shot 35 percent from the field. The more frustrating part was the attitude, and Mavericks eventually parted ways with him just before the season
ended.
The former 6th man of the year knows the importance of the upcoming season, an opportunity for him to prove to the world that he still has the talent and skills to compete at the highest level. He says that he is mentally
in a good place after being picked up by the Clippers, and is ready to give his all for the team this upcoming season.
