  1. lamar has been around for a while and never really has made anything knock your socks off. If you're looking for a cheap board to learn on or simply to destroy they're aren't a bad choice there's just much better board makers out there... they're kinda a tourist brand...

  2. Well if its your first snowboard, you'll be fine with it, though as you advance, you going to require a much nicer board... My suggestion would be to find the cheapest Forum or Burton snowboard that you can find(probably 300) and go from there, they will last you much longer...

  3. They're cheap.  That's why you find them in big box stores and not so much in actual board shops.  That being said if you're just learning and need something to save you from renting every time then it'll work just fine or if you're still growing and will need a different sized board next season.

It's worth saving up a bit more money and getting a nice board that will last longer and be a better ride.  A snowboard is a pretty solid investment if it's something you intend to do season after season!!

If you're in a hurry to get a cheap board you could always go haggle a board shops - most of the time at a true board shop the employees have some wiggle room and can cut you a bit of a deal, especially since there are only a few more months where they can sell their boards off.  Also there's always used!

  4. mostly very entry level. not great decks for int/ advanced. but good enough for a first board
