The Villans boss has expressed optimism regarding his side’s chances of avoiding relegation come the end of the 2012/13 season, but has insisted that his troops will have to put in their 100 percent in all the remaining games to achieve this feat.
Aston Villa head coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347 Lambert, has expressed confidence that his side will be able to finish the 2012/13 season at a respectable position.
The Villans are currently sitting 17th on the Premier League table, only a point clear of the drop zone. With 12 games left to play in the ongoing campaign, the 43-year-old tactician has insisted that his troops will have to try their level best
to secure good results consistently if they are to finish well above the danger zone.
“From now on in its 12 cup finals and that’s the way we have to view it. We have to be ready for it and win more times than not”, Lambert said while talking to the media.
The Scottish mentor went on to admit that it was disappointing not to claim all three points against Everton earlier this month, as they went on to lose two goals lead to end the game in a 3-3 stalemate.
The former Norwich City boss also added that it has happened before against Manchester United and West Bromwich Albion, but insisted that his troops must put behind those performances and learn from their mistakes in order to avoid dropping points from such
situations.
“We lost two-goal leads against Manchester United, West Brom and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019. It’s tough when that happens because those points could have made a major difference. But it’s happened and you just have to keep going. There’s no point in looking back and thinking
‘we should have got points here and there’”, Lambert added.
Nonetheless, after claiming four points from their last two Premier League outings, the Villans are brimming with confidence to achieving consistent results in the remaining games, and the Scottish trainer has also admitted that his troops are confident
about securing good results.
“The last few games we have thought ‘we’ll have some of this’. You can’t go out and play football like it’s a hobby. It’s your http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 to win. The confidence is high at the moment”, Lambert concluded.
