Aston Villa finally recorded their first victory of the Premier League season, winning 2-0 at home against an in-form Swansea City side.

The former Norwich manager has endured a difficult start to Premier League life with Aston Villa, losing his first two games and drawing the second.
The club started their campaign with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of West Ham United, and followed it up with a disappointing 1-3 defeat at home against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019. The club did however secure a point from their trip to St. James’ Park before the international
break.

Swansea had seven points from nine, and were favourites
to win the game against Aston Villa.
However, Villa had other plans, and took the lead in the first half through a wonder 20-yard volley courtesy of right back Matthew Lowton. Substitute and new signing Christian Benteke added the second goal after a poor back header from Swansea defender Ashley
Williams.
Paul Lambert was delighted with his team’s performance and spoke to the media after the game.
"I thought it was an exceptional performance," Lambert said. "I thought we were absolutely brilliant from the off and I thought we thoroughly deserved to win the game.”
"I know people's euphoria, with a new manager coming in, but it'll take time and this is just the start we wanted so we've done great.”
"The young lads have done really well against an experienced Swansea side, but on the day I thought we were worthy of the result."
The manager spoke highly of new signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Benteke-c9056 and Matthew Lowton and is looking forward to more attacking performances by Aston Villa in the coming weeks.
