Ive had it down for about a year now and im scared to clean it. Because when i mop it the water makes the joints swell and it dosnt look as good as it did when i first got it. I wring the mop out asmuch as i possibally can but the floor still looks saturated when ive finished mopping.

Any ideas on what i can use?

And please dont tell me about products like star drops or laminate floor cleaner ive tried them all.

And i carnt get down on my hands and knees with a cloth, then dry it, ive got a 4 year old son, so i havnt got time for that either.

  1. A product that comes in a GREEN bottle called BRUCE works very, very well... I clean a house that has laminate floors and once a month I use a slightly damp mop and wipe the floors down with a mild solution of vinegar/water.. I then dry the floor with a microfiber cloth.. Once a week- I use BRUCE and give the floor a once over... I have a microfiber cloth mop that polishes/dusts the floor... The owners have 2 dogs and it works very, very well... I would suggest that product....

  2. I use the Bissel Flip It on my laminate flooring. I have tried everything and this works the best.

  3. use a vileda but squeeze most of the water out so as the mop is just damp. we always do this and it does not effect the laminate.

  4. Both my son and daughter have one of these steam  cleans that clean the laminated floors very well.

  5. I  used a little peroxide on my mop (flat type (couple of tablespoonfuls) just enough to make it moist and that cleaned up my laminate flooring up very well with out getting too wet, might work for you?

  6. LOL...with a 4 year old, you don't have time to get down on your hands and knees!  It sounds as though the flooring isn't sealed if cleaning it  makes the joints swell.  Have you called the manufacturer or the company who installed your flooring?  I'd start there.  I would think you would be able to damp mop the floor without any problems.  Maybe try an H2O steam mop?  I have all hardwood floors in my home, and I just got one of those mops.  It does an excellent job on my floors, and leaves no water behind.  Good luck!

  7. Buy yourself an ordinary mop (not the string type, the sponge type, like a vileda).  Then, use dettol floor wipes. You put the wipe on the floor and the mop on top and mop away.  It cleans, dries very quickly as it is only a cloth (bit like a nappy liner), and the beauty of it is, it gets all the dirt off the floor and you can throw it away at the end of your mopping - and your mop is still perfectly clean as it has not touched the floor!

I have wooden floor and two dogs, I have done this for years and it is ideal.
