Chelsea’s veteran midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 has gone on to hint that his time at the Stamford Bridge could be coming to an end, as he looks to play out the remainder of his footballing career elsewhere.
With Rafa Benitez now the new Chelsea boss, Lampard hasn’t really had the best of runs under the manager. Benitez has used Lampard as a fringe player and only allowed him to play twenty seven minutes in a Club World Cup game.
Given the fact that the rest of the team was quite tired from their vigorous schedule, but the manager still opted to use Lampard as a latch ditch option, this just hints at the fact that Lampard could soon be on his way out of the team.
When talking about how things are going for him at the club, and just what the future might hold for him, the player is reported to have said: "I feel I have two or three years in me – at least – at the top level"
"The ball is in Chelsea’s court. At the minute nothing has been said. Nothing has been planned. Talks about ‘a one-year extension’ or ‘two-year extension’ don’t exist. Maybe things don’t last forever.”
"Although I want it to last forever you have to be big enough to know what it is. I want to be involved. That’s my character."
He then went on to admit that despite things not looking to be too bright at the moment, he still managed to have his fun at the club in the past. He also suggested that he would look to continue giving it his all, while he was still at the club, since he
wanted the team to achieve the very best that they could.
"Whatever happens, I’ve had a great time at Chelsea," he added.
"I feel like I’ve had a good year particularly from where we were in February to playing what I like to think was a big part in winning the Champions League and FA Cup.”
Nonetheless, it is now up to the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 board and Benitez to decide whether they want to keep a hold of Lampard or not.
