The race distance to cover for the greyhounds will be 300 metres and the event will start at 20:45 GMT. Following are the entries confirmed for the race: Lampard, Manilla Rumble, Farley Ninja, Starmount Jake, Diego Scolari and Bickerton Olive.
The bookies have full confidence in the abilities of Lampard, who has been in spectacular form over the past many races. He has got plenty of experience and has been producing consistent results in recent times.
J. Little’s trainee has won three out of his previous four races, which shows that he has is in great touch at the moment. His most recent victory was at Shawfield, which will encourage the punters to place maximum bets in his favour.
The veteran dog ended up on top of the table in his previous two outings in this grade. He is likely to get a hat-trick of victories, as he has the winning momentum to achieve that. It will be difficult for the rest of the hounds to come anywhere closer
to him.
The brindle dog is the son of Ballymac Maeve out of Rathmeehan Maura and was born in May 2008.
On the other hand, Manilla Rumble is also a decent runner and the bookies expect him to fight her for victory at Shawfield today. He has mostly been running in trial races, but has managed to do well in them.
Another dog, trained by J. Little, took part in a trial run at Shawfield recently and managed to clock a decent time in the end. However, he will need a better effort in order to win the race, as he will be up against some quality greyhounds.
Manilla Rumble is the son of Disguised out of Lead Boots and was born in October 2008. He has got plenty of experience to cope up with the pressure of major events such as the Bettor.com 1.5% Starting commision Sprint Trophy.
Farley Ninja and Starmount Jake are also good runners and might manage to cause an upset at Shawfield today.
