Lampard steals the show in Bettor.com Betting Exchange Sprint at Shawfield
A huge crowd at Shawfield saw Lampard dancing his way to victory in the Bettor.com Betting Exchange Sprint, held on Saturday, March 17, 2012. The 300 metres Grade OR event was full of drama and fascination, as every single hound ran superbly.
After a very close contest, Lampard managed to scoop winning prize worth £150. Bettor.com Betting Exchange Sprint attracted six fast and furious runners, and the party began at 20:35 GMT.
Soon after the start, Lampard managed to gain a decent lead. The brindle dog maintained decent speed on inside rail of the track, letting his rivals no chance to fancy their chances. Once he gained a reasonable advantage, he never looked behind.
Ballymac Maeve’s son out of Rathmeehan Maura covered the distance in just 18.06 seconds. He showed it to the world that why was he rated 7-4 favourite before start of the meeting.
Comrade gave him a real hard time all the way through, but could not deliver what was required. The black b***h finished second by three quarter of a length. The next in the list was Jimmy Bow Tie, who stopped the clock in 18.22 seconds.
It was a blanket finish, as the runners crossed the wire simultaneously. Comrade and Jimmy Bow Tie tried their best to overtake Lampard, but J. Little’s trainee stayed in command.
Bettor.com Scottish Derby 2012 Trial Stake Div B saw Farley Ninja topping the chart by 2¾ lengths. With the odds of 5 to 2, the black dog started off the show from the red box.
The P. Weir-trained lost his dominance for a while, but he returned strongly to win the 480 metres heat convincingly. Citizen Rebel secured runner-up position whereas Harry Lauder seized third slot by one and a quarter lengths.
Bettor.com Scottish Derby 2012 Trial Stake Div A was dominated by Mill Bling Bling. Ahead of the race, the black dog was declared 1-3 favourite. He lived up to his high reputation and outsmarted his rivals comprehensively.
After coming out of the trap, K. Macari’s trainee took just 29.15 to conclude the event. Dance Samir emerged as the nearest pursuer, falling short by four and a half lengths. The third position was grabbed by Failte Isteach.
