Chelsea’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 has urged his team to go into their coming few games on top of their form, as he feels they need to go on and win the remainder of the games they will play before the year comes to an end.
The Blues are set to take on Leeds United in the Capital One Cup, which is going to be the first game they play, following their loss to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Corinthians-c38855 in the Club World Cup.
With the team being rather disappointed with their loss in the game, and with the fans currently not being very happy with how things are going, it seems like this upcoming game is the perfect time for the team to bounce back.
The Blues need to win the game against Leeds by a convincing score line in order to convince the fans that they still mean business and that they aren’t going to be pushed around anymore.
"We have to pick it up for Leeds and then get our form back at home," Lampard said in a recent interview.
"We got a result against Sunderland before we went out to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 and it's very important that we do our stuff, not just with Leeds but the Premier League games over Christmas.”
"If we win at Leeds we'll be in the semi-final and with the possibility of a decent draw but we've got to win the games. It's tough to go to Elland Road. There's a rivalry.”
"We're aware of it and we have to play with passion and do the physical side of things because they're going to be right at it.”
"We can't expect to go up there and tap it around and get a result. We have to do both sides."
Rafa Benitez had also previously gone on to make similar claims to those that Lampard has made. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager stated that the fans can boo the team all they want for the time being, but once things start rolling in the team’s favour once again, then
the fans will finally be satisfied.
Nonetheless, the team is going to have to go on and put in some brilliant performances in the coming games, or they could see their fans start to question their will to win things.
