Chelsea midfielder and England international, Frank Lampard has gone on to insist that age will not be a factor for him in the coming years and that he would be more than capable to participating in the 2014 World Cup.
Lampard is set to make his ninety first appearance for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 player went on to miss out on the Euro 2012 due to a very late injury that he picked up. As a result, he wasn’t able to play a part in another major tournament for the Three Lions.
When talking about his plans for the future, the veteran playmaker is reported to have said: "I've said all along I wouldn't want to be hanging around to try and win 100 caps for the wrong reasons"

"In an ideal world it would be great to be involved all the way through (to Brazil)."

"If you are playing at a level that shows regardless of age you deserve to be in there, then you should be in there.”

"I do want to play for my country. I'm pleased to be amongst a young squad here. I did feel old when I saw the ages on the list for this match.”

"I don't know whether I'll be in the squad in two years. I don't think anyone should know. The competition needs to be fierce and young players need to come through.”
Despite Lampard wanting to play in the competition two years from now, there is a very high probability that he might not make the national team.
Not only is he nearing his retirement, there are far too many young players coming up the ranks, who would be given a preference over a very old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097.
Nonetheless, should the player prove that he is capable of giving it his all in 2014, he might just be able to do the unthinkable and be a part of the Three Lions team.
