While speaking to media reporters, the lanky medium-pacer, who will be 39 during next campaign, said that he was delighted at having been named the club’s captain for a fifth straight season.
“I’m delighted to be captain during what will be my fifth season in the role,” said the Yorkshire-born veteran all-rounder. “We’ll be working hard...during the winter to ensure that we progress in all competitions,” he added further.

“Glen's experience as captain over last four years puts him in the ideal position to lead the team back into first division,” Moores told media reporters. “He’s the respect of all the players and support staff...his commitment to the job is as strong now as when he was first appointed,” the county head coach added further.
Lancashire county’s cricket director http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Michael-Watkinson-c76240 also said that Chapple’s experience will be crucial in their attempt to regain Division One status.
“Glen has the quality and fitness to lead by example,” Watkinson said. “His experience will be crucial as we look forward to a successful campaign in championship and one-day cricket,” he added further.
