Lancashire snap up Pakistan all-rounder Yasir Arafat for 2012 Flt20 tournament – Cricket News Update
The Lancashire Cricket County Club on Wednesday snapped up Pakistan all-rounder http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yasir-Arafat-c98241 as their second overseas player for the 2012 Friends Life T20 tournament.
Expressing delight over inclusion of Yasir Arafat to the squad, Lancashire's director of cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Michael-Watkinson-c76240 said that the signing of 30-year-old prolific Pakistan all-rounder emphasizes on county’s determination to progress in
the shortest format of the game. Watkinson hoped Arafat’s inclusion will address the problem of lack of depth in their batting line-up.
"The addition of Yasir to our squad emphasises our determination to progress in the Friends Life t20 tournament and we are delighted to have him on board,” said Mike Watkinson, Lancashire's director of cricket, after finalising the
deal with Arafat.
“Our squad doesn't have the depth that we have been accustomed to and Yasir brings experience and skill to fulfil this important role," he hoped.

Lancashire head coach, Peter Moores, agreed with Watkinson that Arafat’s addition will bolster county’s ranks for this season’s flt20 campaign. Moores told the media persons that the Pakistani all-rounder has a wealth of experience
of playing in English conditions and “is a very experienced one day bowler and a big hitter of the ball down the order."
