The visitors would have been pleased with their performance after restricting the opposition to less than 200. However, the team had to bat extremely well in order to take a solid first innings lead in the match.

However, the team’s skipper Jim Troughton and wicketkeeper batsman Tim Ambrose put together 37 runs for the fourth wicket partnership, gaining some momentum in the innings.
The keeper batsman was unable to last longer, getting out after adding 11 runs to the total off 19 deliveries.
