Lancashire v Worcestershire: County Championship Division One – Lancashire’s First Innings
Lancashire took a comfortable victory over http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 on Saturday, August 20, 2011.
The hosts had set a target of 329 runs for the opposition and managed to defend it easily in the end, as the Worcestershire team was all out for 230 runs in their second innings.
Earlier, the Worcestershire skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Daryl-Mitchell-c52533 put the opposition into bat after winning the toss. He expected some assistance for the bowlers on the first day and wanted to take maximum advantage of it.

Cross also played nicely, ending up with 39 runs off 60 deliveries with the help of six boundaries. He was quickly running out of partners at the other end and failed to cope up with the pressure in the end, giving his wicket away.

Worcestershire would have liked to restrict the opposition to a lesser total, especially after electing to field first at the toss. However, the bowlers still did a decent job in the end.
