    That is why clearing the rain forests for commercial agriculture is not viable.  Many natives of the rain forest use the rain forest for only a couple of years in small patches - this lets the forests grow back over the affected field.


  2. i think D , because the soil is no longer held together by the tree roots it will be washed away and because it will no longer be fertilized by the natural causes of it being a rain forest.

  3. Definitely D) -- soil in rain forests is actually not all that nutrient rich (after removing the contributions of the biodiversity complex that is in place when the native vegetation is present), which is then compounded by erosion and leaching.
