Lander dominates 3A girls meets at the 2011 Wyoming High School State Championships
The 2011 Wyoming High School State Championships conducted 3A girl’s meets of competitive swimming in Gillette, Wyoming, on Monday, October 31. Lander dominated the 3A state championship with the highest score of 272 marks, while Jackson Hole claimed second
position in a mark of 213 points.
The third position went to Sublette County in a score of 138.5 points, whereas, Rawlins earned fourth position in a mark of 118 points. Finally, Buffalo settled for fifth position in a score of 117 points and the sixth spot went to Cody with a total score
of 115 points.

Senior athlete, Jessica Anderson of Rawlins clinched 3A girls 100m butterfly title in a fastest time of 1 minute and 01.46 seconds, whereas, Anderson claimed her second gold medal in 3A girls 500m freestyle event by posting a winning time of 5 minutes and
34.40 seconds.
Freshman Morgan Gramlich of Lander took home the 3A girls 200m freestyle title by hitting the finishing wall in a time of 2 minutes and 05.72 seconds. On the other hand, junior Sammy Crawford of Lander topped 3A girls 200m Individual Medley race by submitting
a thrilling time of 2 minutes and 12.65 seconds.
In addition, the 3A girl’s 50m freestyle crown was taken over by Sophomore Lateesha Hiser of Douglas in a triumphant mark of 25.56 seconds. Moreover, junior Cori Anderson of Sublette County won 3A girls 100m freestyle crown by posting a winning time of 56.37
seconds.
Sophomore Connor Tarver of Jackson Hole claimed 3A girls100m back-stroke title by thrashing the finishing wall in a time of 59.43 seconds. Acadia DeAtley of Cody went on to win 3A girls100m breast-stroke title by submitting a winning time of 1 minute and
10.02 seconds.

On the other hand, the 3A girls 200m freestyle relay crown was won by Lander’s team of Sammy Crawford, Gwynaedd Howdyshell, Morgan Gramlich and Emily Schimelpfenig in a victorious mark of 1 minute and 44.76 seconds. Additionally, Crawford, Gramlich, Audrey
Fowler and Howdyshell took home the 3A girls 400m freestyle relay crown in a time of 3 minutes and 50.13 seconds.
The 3A girls 200m medley relay title was clinched by Jackson Hole's squad of Connor Tarver, Flynn Guerrieri, Becca Hamilton and Pam Arland in a mark of 1 minute and 55.92 seconds.
