Landline phone question?

which landline phone is better an at&t phone or a panasonic phone. we're planning to move and buying a new landline. i am trying to find a landline phone that is good, lasts long, good quality, and cheap.

In my opinion, Panasonic makes better phones than AT&T, since Cingular is the new AT&T.

The 'Call Block' on the Panasonic DECT is a joke. (and you need to have Caller ID to use it.) I would recommend a cheaper phone (I find DECT a lot of 'hype.) with Caller ID, and a unit like 'Privacy Manager', you can block all the numbers you want, not just blocked or private numbers. They are available at http://www.privacycorps.com (No monthly charge.)

Reliable, good quality, cheap..........For some reason this wording makes no sense.

You get what you pay for!  If you want a REAL phone that will last till 2050 go to this site and look around.  You will a few long lasting, high quality telephones.

To answer your question, I would look at Panasonic phones over AT&T

ATT don't manufacture phones any longer.  The brand name has been sold out to other manufactures

Or a no frill will really last 50 years.
