Landlocked in atlanta... where can i go?

anybody know of good places in and around atlanta to rent kayaks or canoes for a day on the water?

  1. Try researching Lake Allatoona (NW of ATL) and Lake Hartwell (NE of ATL). I'm not familiar with renting anything at either one of them, but they are nice lakes... Good Luck. Oh and I haven't been to either since the drought really kicked it up a notch, so I'm not sure what their current states are. And I don't think Lanier is what you are looking for.


  2. Lake Lanier....but not sure if they rent stuff. If you drive North, up into Tennessee, there are alot of rivers.
