I have been living in my current privately rented property for over a year now.
In my previous property (also privately rented) the landlord signed the lease along with me on my first day and gave me a copy along with all the relevent paperwork for the council tax applications.
This time I have had no lease, no information regarding the council tax - in fact nothing has been mentioned or given in writing besides you pay for your own gas, electric, telephone and internet as you require it and the rent is £x*x a month.
Just wondering how this goes with the council tax as I would be more than happy to pay it but refuse to without a lease to know where I stand yet the landlord is refusing to come across with it after almost a year of asking for it.
