I am moving out of my house in 1 month. My landlord is remodelling my whole house and it has taken a couple of months already. She knows I am moving out and I have even asked her to wait my family is out to do this.

I never know who will be at my house on a given day. The workers expect me to let them in and have asked me to leave my house unlocked for them which I don't do. I have had junk left in both of my bathtubs at the same time, been locked out of my own house so that I had to break in (there is no key to the door k**b and the workers locked the remotes on the garage door out by mistake), moved my entire house into my garage given a 2 day notice, and basically inconvenienced to say the least for the last 2 months.

I don't even want money from my landlord, I just want her to hold off of the remodel for another month so I don't have to deal with it.

Can I do anything about this?

  1. go to the nearest courthouse or library and ask if they have anything on tenant rights in your state.. in our state there is the landlord-tenant act which spellls out the rights of both landlord and tenant...

you might be able to google it online.

here is what comes up on my google... hope this helps some
