Landlord unlawfully witholding Sec. Deposit...?

My Zip code is 54603. Is there some sort of housing department I can contact to investigate him? Details in my other question.

  1. Well, you could p**s off your landlord by adopting 2 dozen pets from your local animal shelter and bringing them all in to your apartment/home.


  2. The best thing to do is go to small claims court, file a complaint again the Landlord. You and Landlord will have to appear in court just one time. Have all receipts to show where you paid the security deposit and at least last three months rent. Also if you have pics of the place you live, after you moved showing it in clean condition, take them.  You have to show proof that the Landlord had no legal right to keep your deposit like for cleaning up after you etc... If you have all this proof and was not behind in rent, you can get your deposit back.  You can call the court house and they will tell you how much the filing fee's are for this court date. It is worth it to get your money back.

  3. So what is your question, you haven't given enough info as to why he isn't giving it back. Please tell us the reason he gave you

  4. I hate that. Take your landlord to small claims court. Make sure you have reciepts or proof of payment always...
