  1. You don't say what the court action is about.

I think if you don't have a lease, then you have no right of abode - sorry to tell you that.

I just realised you mean guarantor - I thought you meant he garrotted people!  Without a signature he can't take your father to court.

  2. try fair housing in your area and it seems he has stolen some identity information from your family. file a police report as well showing them the emails to back it up.

  3. You can go to the police, but nine times out of ten they would tell you to go ahead and move. I'm guessing you have done that already, so do it! That's harassment. Call them and get him off your ***!

  4. by advice is to take copies or print all the e-mails that your landlord has sent you, with any threats or anything that is threatning and take these to your local police station, and report him, this is harrasement and by law he cannot do this.

this can be stopped by them do NOT be afraid to do this, whether he threatens any action against you or your family, if this does not put him off you can take an injuction out against him which means if he contacts you or goes within a certain distance of you he will be automatically arrested.

    Good Luck

  5. Hi. It all sounds very scary for you. I think id get in touch with the police and show them the email. Try not to worry. Hope the police can sort this out for you x

  6. Go to the police. This is harassment.

  7. Did you have any warning at all when you first rented the place.... that the landlord was a bit weird.  Usually there are signs.  THis will make you smarter in the future.  There is nothing you can "do" today to make this problem go away.

If you do go to court, it will be a good thing. The judge will see how the landlord is acting.  You will have your rent receipts.  You will explain the threatening letters. If you are lucky, you will get a judgement against the landlord for $5,000 for his actions.  Get your receipts ready. /

  8. Immediately get to the police. Then go to HUD.

  9. Call the cops NOW,show them the messeges on your computer.
