hey guys i was wonderin how highly is Donovan regarded in the states, cos i have seen him play and i honestly think he would do well if he had another crack at europe, i hear one of the reasons he left leverkusen was cos he missed his wife and dogs, does this mean he won't move because he is homesick. if he does go to europe where do you reckon he will end up. i would like to see him in the premiership personally. oh yeah another thing how is jozy altidore regarded in America and do you reckon he will do well in Spoain immediately or take time, thanks

I think Altidore could be successful if given a shot by Villareal right away.

Landon ... I don't think could handle a situation in which he had to win a spot, prove himself.

landon donovan is very highly regarded in the US.he is very skilled.technically dominant and his playmaking is superb.he is a proven goal scorer and ice cold under pressure.

some dont like him not because of his football.but because of his lack of ambition.other footballers with far less talent have accomplished great things because of the passion they feel for the sport.the ambition they feel to want to play at the highest level.that is precisely what he lacks.

I think he is a fantastic player really and I have at times felt that if he truly was passionate about football like others are.he would be a true worldclass player respected and feared in every tournament by everyone.

but he isnt passionate.he loves football but its no coincidence that he plays in the galaxy.he grew up in redlands CA.thats barely north of L.A.he likes living close to home.he is way too comfortable and quite frankly has looked at football as a job and nothing more.thats frustrating if you are a passionate fan of the US.he lacks ambition.

he seems to have changed his attitude however.he has gone all year saying that he would like to play in a league of the highest caliber.he has stated that he would like to play in the EPL or La Liga.

Im happy to hear this.

Donovan is considered one of the US' best. He would probably do well in England, might think about taking his wife and dogs though.

Altidore is considered a great striker with his best years yet to come. I would imagine that he will need some time to adjust to the Spanish way but it shouldn't take long, he is obviously a quick study.

He excels in the MLS, but we saw what happened when he went to Germany. He cried and came back because it was too much for him, haha saying that he was homesick? kiss my hahaha, that's the dumbest excuse I've ever heard. If he goes back to Europe again let's just hope that this doesn't happen again as it may be his last chance as he already failed twice.

landon is doing great i think.  one major down side is that david beckham steals his thunder so now he greats a smaller amount of attention. i think he would thrive on a small european team
