  1. You can use liquid fabric softener in your washer.

  2. put some dryer sheets into the rinse cycle

  3. use downy mountain fresh fabric softner and put it in the rince cycle and then put it in the dryer u can also use dryer sheets too but liquid works the best. i like putting the liquid in the rince cycle and then dryer sheets give it more softness

  4. use a liquid softener in the washer

  5. The vinegar is actually as good for a softener as the commercial stuff. Your towels will be stiffer if they aren't tumbed dry. When I was young everything was hung to dry and that's how linens were. Sheets were scratchier, towels stiffer, etc. Irorning would help softening them up, but you could never get me to do that! You do get the advantage of saving energy, and helping the environment, a good trade for towels not as soft. The only other thing you could try is spraying them lightly with a spray bottle mixed with water and about 1 or 2 tablespoons of any liquid softener. If it does not work, use it on your clothes and wrinkles fall out.

  6. I always put in fabric softener at the beginning of the wash cycle.

  7. baking soda
