Landscape Fabric on top of Round-Up?

I have a project i want to start tonite and have done by tomorrow afternoon. Which can be done. It's a border next to the house about 3ft wide and about 150 ft long. Can I spray Round-up tonite and lay my landscape fabric ontop of it then top it all off with brown mulch or woodchips tomorrow? Then can i plant my newly started shrubs in it to finish or should i wait for a few days to plant them. Basically will Round Up kill my shrubs if i plant them?

Tronary is right, the roundup kills systemically so you have to let the plant absorb it and die in its own time.  The fabric and mulch will do the trick to kill the grass.

You will be totally wasting the Round Up. It must be sprayed on living plants and given several days to kill the plant and roots. The fabric and mulch will work over time
