Lanesdown Geordy and Glenbane Air joint favourites for Monaneigue Lady Dash
Lanesdown Geordy and Glenbane Air are set to lock horns in the Monaneigue Lady Dash at Coventry in England on Sunday, September 9, 2012. Both are extremely talented runners and will give a tough time to each other in the Grade OR event. The punters should risk the maximum number of bets in favour of these two greyhounds as anyone of them will walk away with a cash prize of £200 in the end.
Looking at the total distance to cover, which is just 263 metres, it is pretty much clear that speed will determine the outcome of the race, which is scheduled to start at 18:15 GMT tomorrow. The start will be extremely crucial and even a little mistake could prove to be extremely costly at the end of the day.
It is hard to predict the winner accurately for this race, as both Lanesdown Geordy and Glenbane Air are in spectacular form at the moment. They like the shorter distance events, thus both will be confident of taking the top spot in the end.
The former of the two greyhounds is younger in age, thus he will have more energy compared to his main rival. He has appeared in a lot of Grade OR events, thus the punters will have a lot of confidence in his abilities. He started off his career in 2011 and has been competitive since then.
The D. Calvert’s trainee has represented his team in plenty of events at different levels and has mostly been competitive. It took him quite some time before making his Grade OR debut in May this year.
Lanesdown Geordy was priced 5 to 1 for that event and he did a reasonable job in the end, finish third. He struggled in the next race in this class, but bounced back strongly afterwards. The blue and white dog finished first in his previous two races and will be chasing a hat-trick tomorrow.
On the other hand, Glenbane Air is also in a similar position right now. He has also been victorious in his previous two Grade OR events. He has got more experience of running in this class, thus he will be a touch more confident compared to his main rival.
