Lanesdown Geordy hot favourite for William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes
Lanesdown Geordy has got a great opportunity to succeed in the William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes at Newcastle in England on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. The Grade A1 winner will bag a cash prize of £118.
The 480 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 13:12 GMT and the spectators will be looking forward to some exciting action. There are some decent runners roaring to fight for victory in the race, but none of them seems to be in a position to challenge
Lanesdown Geordy, who is in terrific form right now.
The young hound has been given a general starting price of 5 to 2 by the bookies and the punters will definitely not hesitate while placing bets on him. He has been delivering decent results with consistency and it will be difficult to stop him from taking
the top spot at the end of the day.
Droopys Kewell’s son out of Lanesdown Think took part in a Grade OR event recently and his performance was really good in it. Although he was unable to win it, yet he gave a tough time to his opponents and finished as a runner up. He was not rated as the
favourite to win that time around, but still finished one length short of the winner, which was quite an encouraging fact.
Lanesdown Geordy has mostly raced at Newcastle in his career, which means that he will not have any issues with the conditions. He started off his career at the same venue back in September 2011 and impressed one and all with his skills. He was extremely
competitive back then and battled in different classes for his team.
The D. Calvert’s trained hound earned a lot of respect because of his performances in the 2011 season and started the next year on a positive not as well. He represented his trainer in a Grade A1 event for the first time in January 2012.
He was priced 5 to 2 by the bookies and was expected to fight at the front. This was exactly what he did, but failed to finish at the top of the table. Despite that, his performance was not bad and he secured the third position in the end. He will once again
be battling at the front for sure and possibly end up winning this time around.
