  1. It's actually fresh water fish vs salt water fish


  2. Normally creatures from the Sea are just called by name, for instance Cod or Haddock, the fresh water equivalents are usually called by name with the word Lake sometimes in front as in Lake Perch, but not always as you have Tulapia, Catfish and Salmon called just by name as well.
