Language translation for "I'm glad we're friends"?

Question

I'm trying to learn to write "I like you, and I'm glad we're friends" (or just "I'm glad we're friends") in as many languages as I can. It's kinda a long story why. . . I don't want to use freetranslation.com or something because it translates literally and often gets grammar and sentence structure wrong. Can anyone translate that phrase for me? The more languages the better. Thanks!

Sono felice (or contenta - said by a female) che siamo amici/amiche.

Amici is if you are referring to a guy, or a group of female/male friends, amiche is if you are referring to (a) female friend(s).

Oh, this is in Italian.
