are there any lakes or rivers in Lanzarote?

  1. No there are none as it is a volcanic island.  I think it is lovely and have been a few times.


  2. went there a couple of years ago and toured the island a fair bit. I don't recall seeing any! It's a dry, volcanic island in the main - fantastic scenery in the true sense of the word!

  3. While there may be a few ponds and small streams, there are no major lakes or rivers.

    One particularly interesting lake/pond is the naturally-green pool called El Golfo:

    Although you can't swim in it (or approach too closely in general), it is interesting to see!

    Lanzarote is a volcanic island (one of the Canary Islands) so it doesn't have any sizable lakes or rivers. But it does have alll of the Atlantic Ocean off its shores!
