Laptop Brightness Problem?

I purchased this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8907944&type=product&id=1213046785626 laptop maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago, its been working fine until now. Out of nowhere my screen's brightness or contrast just turned way up. It is now so bright that I'm having trouble reading what I'm typing right now on this page. And yes i have already tried messing with the function brightness. But for some reason when I run full-screen games, its fine. everything else isn't, its way too bright, wat should i do?

Best thing to do is call HP tech support, they will help you out plus if there is a problem since you are under warranty they will repair the laptop for free. Call them

I see. Well, right click on your desktop, and select properties. Click on Settings >> Advanced, and mess around with the color. If that doesn't work, make sure you press FN or F-Lock when your increasing your laptop brightness. If this fails, the last thing you should do is get a professional. When you play full-screen games, these games change the settings of your video card for the best performance.
